Today we had a slow morning, with eggs for breakfast. After getting ready, we hopped in the car and drove onto a dirt road in Jedediah Smith State Park. On both sides of us, there were huge trees (Hence the name: Redwoods National and State Parks) We all gaped while Dad navigated the winding road. We parked and wenr on the Boy scouts Trail through the woods, caning our necks to see the tops of the trees.

After returning to our car, we drove to a smaller loop trail through the forest called Stout Grove. It was fun climbing on the fallen giant trees. Next, we found a place in town that served ice cream. Yum!

We were all pretty tired when we got back to our campsite this afternoon,  and we read and played cards until dinner.

Redwoods NP Lives up to its Name!
