Yesterday we started the day by having to say goodbye to Cathleen and Rob. A big thank you to them for feeding us so well and being awesome hosts! It was hard to leave.

We had a 7 and a half hour drive ahead of us, but we wanted to stop at the Space Needle before we left Seattle. Once we got there and got tickets,  we realized it would be over an hour before we could go up, so we walked around the little food trucks and stores in the area. Music was playing, and most of us got strawberry shortcake cups from a vendor. Next, we saw that there was a giant net-like climbing playground, so of course we had to climb it. The sign read that the park was for 5-12 year olds, but that did not stop us! I don’t think I’ll ever stop going on playgrounds.

It was then time for the four of us kids to get in line for the ride to the top of the Space Needle. It was a long wait, but once we got inside there were cool facts about the construction of the needle. (It tilts one inch back and forth per every 10 mph of wind!) The views were amazing, and as soon as we stepped out to the viewing area, the Blue Angels flew right by us! We know Rob will be jealous when he hears this, haha.

Eventually, we descended the tower and went back to the car to start our long drive. We got to the yurt we were staying in at around 10pm, and we appreciated the fact that no tent needed to be set up. We fell asleep fast and slept well.
