Since about one day after we finished our last big Southwest trip in 2015 I have been looking forward to doing it all over again. With our girls entering their junior year of high school this fall we will most likely be spending most of our vacation time next year visiting colleges, so we decided to go ahead and take the jump now! Once they start college it will be more and more difficult to find big chunks of time all together for something like this.
Our last big trip like this was so wonderful that I fear this one will have some unattainably high expectations to meet. We look forward to catching up with our friends Rob and Cathleen who have recently moved to Seattle as a break from our hiking and camping. I do not feel even half as prepared with research and planing as I did last time so this will be more figure it out as we go along.
Our overall plan is similar to before in that we will be flying out with our camping gear that we will strap to the roof of our rental van. Only difference is that we are flying into Seattle instead of Las Vegas. We are also planning to tent camp almost exclusively this time.
We will be taking turns writing blogs here almost every day if we can to share some stories and pictures as we go.
