Grace and I signed up to attend a watercolor painting class for our last morning at Yosemite NP. Heather and the other kids were looking forward to some downtime near a wifi spot and some lunch while we took the class. (In that order I think)
I have never painted before and I have always wanted to try it. Grace has always taken to artistic endeavors and enjoyed painting this year in art class. The visiting artist specialized in a fast and fluid style that is the exact opposite of Grace and me when it comes to art. The class was titled “Yosemite Fast and Loose”. It was a very good opportunity to spend time together, learn something and take in the wonderful surroundings one last time before we departed.
It will surprise no one that Grace was of course way better at it than I was, but I improved as the class time progressed and look forward to trying it again someday.
