Instead of doing a post for each day, we’re going to make a big post about our time at Yosemite. This park is different from some of the others we’ve been to for a couple reasons: It’s bigger and there are bears. Also, there are many waterfalls. We went on a couple hikes to see a few. There are posters everywhere reminding campers to put food and other smelly items in the bear boxes at night, and garbage and recycling cans have special bearproof locks.

The things we’ve done at Yosemite can be split into two categories: the Panorama Trail, and everything else. We did the Panorama Trail on Monday, and it was the one thing we definitely had planned to do at Yosemite. We took a bus up to Glacier Point (close to 8,000 feet above sea level) and hiked down to the valley floor. We thought it would be downhill all the way, but we ended up going down, then up, then rinse and repeat. There were signs showing where the trail connected to other trails, and we kept thinking we had less to go than we actually did. It was soooo long (about 9 miles)! We are all sore, but it was fun. Afterwards, we got ice cream (for like the seventh or eighth time this trip). That’s all for now!
