On Wednesday, we realized we were about halfway through our trip. We have certainly fit a lot in so far!
This day’s adventure included a visit to Bryce Canyon National Park. Sometimes the canyons full of red rock formations can start to look a little alike, but this place was definitely unique. We were able to hike down into the canyon, and walk along the bottom for a bit. As we walked we were surrounded by hoodoos, which are tall structures of red rock. Seeing so many together made it look like we were looking at cities full of skyscrapers, or maybe giant sandcastles.
Towards the end of the hike, we walked up a very steep staircase that switchbacked back and forth. It was tiring, but the view along the hike was well worth it.
After stopping by the Visitor’s Center, we headed back to the campground. It was pretty hot, so we spent the rest of the afternoon sitting by the campground pool, enjoying the water, and reading.
After having dinner at our campsite, Noah and Jeff played a little ping pong, then we had s’ mores, then bed. On Thursday, we head to Zion Nat’l Park….and real beds at a hotel!
Miss you all!
